ROLANDO BONANDRINI
PhD Student
I achieved my Master’s degree in Clinical, Developmental and Neuro-Psychology at the University of Milano-Bicocca in March 2017 and since July 2018 I am a qualified Psychologist. Since November 2017 I am a PhD Student in Psychology, Linguistics and Cognitive Neuroscience in the Department of Psychology of the University of Milano-Bicocca.
My main research interests concern reading, with particular reference to the study of the contribution of the two cerebral hemispheres in the decoding of written verbal information. In particular, I am interested in exploring the functional lateralization of reading in subjects with a varying degree of hemispheric dominance. Recently, I have also been involved in a study addressing the impact of orthographic transparency on reading in highly-proficient late-acquisition bilinguals.
To these aims, I combine behavioral, neuroimaging (functional magnetic resonance imaging, fMRI), and meta-analytical techniques.
